Finally, after several attempts, I was able to meet a couple of w@wies last Saturday. The original meeting place was Starbucks, Shangri La Mall. But the mall was caught on fire Friday night so we had to move the venue to Megamall.
Since Fei (ni Stan) and I have been planning to meet since a couple of months ago but our schedules didn’t allow us, we decided to have lunch together before meeting up for coffee with the other w@wies. After lunch at Amici, we had dessert at Crepes and Cream. The girls came in one by one, but since the meeting place – Starbucks was (always) full, we decided to have the chit chat at Crepes. Apple (ni Ryan) arrived a little before 3pm, then Grace (with fiance, Jhong), then Kristelle (ni Mark) at exactly 3pm. We didn’t realize it was 5pm already until we felt really thirsty from all the exchange of stories. It was time to move to Starbucks, finally there was a seat. Jihan (with fiance, Gelo) arrived and we continued with the stories until it was time to leave because Stan and Mark arrived picking up their fiancées.
It was fun, fun, fun meeting up with the w@wies. Hope we could do it again.
Measurements March 8, 2010

I’ve been postponing watching what I eat until Feb. 27. I wanted to indulge until the last minute. The deadline was the day of the measurements for my wedding gown.
Our appointment with Sheah was at 10am, I arrived with my mom at her shop in Katipunan at 930ish. We wanted to be there early so that I can inform the others where exactly it was. Alright, alright, and because I was excited. Benj and Tita Winnie arrived next, and then the ladies. We were almost complete, too bad Teret was in the province for another wedding and Mem, as usual, can’t get away from work.
The measurements began. Ate Jackie took my measurements and told me that she will be with Sheah to dress me up on my day. While Ate Jackie is taking the measurements of the others, Sheah again discussed to me the details of my gown. I was asked to fit a sample so that I would have a feel of a semi-serpentina gown. I agreed to it and find it comfortable enough to move around.
For my entourage, they will be having dresses which are tea length with navy blue as the dominant color with pink and orange accents. I can’t wait how it’ll turn out. I hope the ladies will like it.
After the measurements, we had lunch at The Old Spaghetti House where we caught up with the stories. It was like college lunch all over again except that we have our husbands with us now, and that 8 people finished all 3 TOSH Trios that is good enough for 10 to 12 peeps.
Finally, Felt It Was Christmas December 26, 2009

Yes, it wasn’t until December 24 when I felt the Christmas spirit. Don’t ask why unless you want to hear me rant all day long.
Dec. 24
I was finally able to watch a movie again. Benj and I watched AVATAR in IMAX. This movie is highly recommended and best watched in 3D. Winner!
We went to mass after the movie and tried our darnest to stay awake and finish the mass. Now, I remember why we don’t hear mass at our parish. We wrapped a couple more gifts after the mass, then it was time… Happy birthday, Bro!
Dec. 25
I woke up early because I will be spending Christmas in Cavite. Christmas day was spent the typical way – gift giving, lotsa food and drinks, and most especially the stories. It was a bit different though because we were the primary topic. It was all about our wedding plans and trying to get as many sponsors as possible. Hehe. The day ended light and happy.
Summer @ Villa Escudero May 5, 2009

Second summer outing for this year is at Villa Escudero with WBC. Rodel was the designated driver (Thanks, Odj!). Rache and Venus were the designated photographers. Teret, Rose and the Bs were well, just there to enjoy. Hehe!
The villa did not change a bit since I last went there around 15 years ago. Food was delish, place was nice and well kept, and their museum was interesting. On the way home, an unplanned stop at Kusina Salud (one of the destinations in Viaje Del Sol) in San Pablo was made. We had a sumptuous dinner of Ensaladang Pako, Seafood Kare-kare, Carabao Meat with Coconut, and Sinampalukang Chicken Hainanese, and dessert was Sansrival and Turon (although turon at Sonya’s Garden is better).
More pictures here.
Next stop: Tagaytay?
Btw, it didn’t really seemed like summer because it was raining the whole day.

“Tagaytay City, Cavite” February 8, 2009.
The Bs and the Larins went to One Tagaytay Place. This is where we stayed for the weekend. It is a new hotel that was still on soft opening. The place was nice and the staffs were courteous. We had brunch at Manos Greek Tavern. Yummy Greek dishes! We loved the moussaka (and the baked macaroni that tasted like moussaka. Hehe.).
“Batulao, Batangas” February 8, 2009.
Chapel on the Hill – Anne and Jogo’s wedding. It was a very nice and solemn ceremony. Except for Issie’s noise in the background.
I was the candle sponsor. I’m sorry Anne and Jogo that I missed the march, good thing we arrived just in time for the lighting of the candle. Benj was driving like crazy to get us there on time.
Sonya’s Garden – wedding reception. It was a lovely and cozy place. We were served a delicious meal but we loved the turon best. And we had fun during the square dance.
“Sta. Rosa, Laguna” February 9, 2009.
Original plan was to pass by Ilog Maria before going home. Too bad it was closed during Mondays.
This lead us to the alternate plan of passing by Mamplasan. We had lunch at the slow Fastaurant. ‘Nuf said.
“Mamplasan, Laguna” February 9, 2009.
Sporting Warehouse. We passed by with hopes of finding big discounts on rubber shoes and other stuffs. We were lucky enough to get a couple of shirts, not too lucky for nice pairs though.
We got to go to 3 provinces in 2 days and I had a nice weekend with Benj and my friends.
