Watched Wall-E with Benj last night. It was another nice and funny film from Pixar.
Makes me want to collect all the Pixar films in DVD.
Here’s the short story before Wall-E started. Enjoy!

The Valentine Holiday February 21, 2007

A late post on the holiday but meaningful and special, nevertheless.
Benj and I started our Valentine’s celebrations the weekend before Vday. Just like last year, it was celebrated in several parts.
We started off with a quick stop at the Market Market supermarket (hehe). Benj had fun following the confused Beej go through the aisles trying to find the ingredients to my soon-to-be specialty.
By the time we finished paying for the groceries, it was just 10 minutes before the start of The Holiday. No time to bring the groceries back to the car, we just went straight to buying our movie snacks — mushroom beef Jamaican patties (masarap pa rin kagaya ng dati
) & Halo-Halo Zagu (halo-halo fot the lazy peeps
), and straight to the cinema. We arrived just in time for one last movie trailer and the beginning of the movie.
The movie was nice — feel good, happy ending — and had a balanced combination of “kilig” (*dreamy look* Jude Law *kilig*), drama (no, I did not shed a tear!), and comedy (it’s so Jack Black!). In other words, it was a perfect date movie.
After the movie, we had dinner at Pizza Kitchen Company where we stayed until they closed up (apparently, they close early — same time as the mall, at 9pm). We had the usual Stuffed Calamares (they have smaller calamares now
) and the weird-but-in-a-good-way Mexican-something pizza.
The next day was my Valentine treat for Benj. I prepared a homecooked Valentine’s lunch for him. I cooked this and baked this (with chocolate chips and without almonds) for my baby.
Of course he said they were delicious!
With nothing better to do after lunch, we had a TV show marathon of Grey’s Anatomy, Heroes and Sex & The City.
On Vday, we had another trip to Market Market. Too early for Music and Lyrics, we did our usual movie past time — Time Zone, and our latest addiction is playing Pinball and Trivia Game. We love “stealing” the tickets from unsuspecting players. How? It’s our secret.
Dinner was at Sbarro, before heading off to the cinema.
The movie was another perfect date movie — feel good and funny. And Hugh Grant, hilarious with his signature dance step! And his song, playing over and over in my head. Hehe.
Not wanting the night to end, we opted to have coffee first before going home. But traditional Starbucks was not an option this time because it will definitely be FULL. There was no any CBTL near the place so we decided to walk to Krispy Kreme and try their coffee, and of course have donuts. Yum!
On the way to KK from M2, we passed by a “different” world we call Serendra. Can’t seem to find the words to describe the place, basta all we know is that we don’t belong there. Oh! We saw Cupcakes by Sonja, Benj bought me two to taste and I don’t think we are going back for more. Not that it wasn’t delish but we still think it is way too expensive for cup cakes.
And to cap off the weeklong celebration, Benj and I went to my friend Ivan’s resto-bar, Cenadu, at Hobbies of Asia in Macapagal for dinner. We stayed from 730 til 1030 witnessing the place’s transformation from fine dining to a sports bar to a nice place for clubbing. The food and drink were delicious and cheap. I think this time we found our comfort-place.

… was the theme of our last two weekends, leaving us short of rest, but nevertheless having fun.
Jan 19 – Dinner at Flavors of China with my baby after a week long duty travel. It was as if I was gone soooo long that we both have lots of stories for each other.
Jan 20 – Surprise party for Precy. Precy’s bestfriend, Ms. Connie, was the mastermind and we celebrated it at her home in Parañaque. Benj and I came quiet early giving us time to stroll along BF. We wanted to have a taste of the most talked about Conti’s and pair it up with coffee at Starbucks, unfortunately there was no parking slot available. Oh well. At around 8pm, we were off to GB3 to watch Deja Vu. What the!?… How can they do that?

Jan 22 – Monday night is Grey’s Anatomy night… that is if we were able to finish downloading last week’s episode. Straight home from work, we watched not just one episode but also Oprah and Ellen Degeneres Show where the cast of Grey’s were the guests. And where did we get that copy? Teret, the certified Grey’s Anatomy addict, recorded it in VHS copy. Call her addict or what?
Jan 23 – InSense. I finally convinced Benj to go to the spa with me after a couple of months of persuasion.
We were supposed to just have one of the usual massages — shiatsu, swedish or tranquility — but the aromatherapy massage was apparently on a promo price (500, down from the usual 700 price). It was a no-brainer… why settle when you can get more?
Benj chose peppermint while I had lavander scent.
Jan 25 – Diko Chris. It was an impromptu dinner because he just found out the day before that his flight back to Oz was not until Saturday. Yey! There was a little catching up then back to home base.
Jan 26 – Dinner with HIN pips+++++ (hehe) at Sea Side Market, Macapagal aka “Dampa”. It was Teret and Rose’s blow-out dinner. Thanks guys! Followed by another videoke night at Ms. Nanet’s. That turned out to be Rommel’s night.
Jan 27 – Comedy, drama, romance, fiction. What kind of movie is that? Turned out only Will Ferrell can do it. Watch Stranger Than Fiction to find out. Hehe.

And today is monday again… Guess who’s night is it again… Still have to schedule Hiro’s night though.
